Buhariwalas, is deeply committed to protecting the environment. This declaration is sent out to each company, e.g. FIDI / Non FIDI members, members of any other organizations, private or Individuals that we are committed to its protection by our multifaced approach to minimize the impact to the environment by spelling out what we do.
Consumption & Use of Packing Materials
Export Shipments
• Our skill crew members minimize the consumption of wrapping of packing material by utilizing correct amount of material request to wrap a particular item in order that there is minimum waist age. We strive for minimum 1% of total materials consumption waist age during each job. It is our ongoing practice to remove packing materials from our warehouse that is required on site by mapping against survey inventory to avoid shortfall or pulling out excess materials from the warehouse.
Import Shipments
• For all inbound shipments it is normal practice of our crew members to consciously unwrap items in order that the material is not damaged, these resources are conserve for reuse and can be recycled. These materials are then reused for local and domestic moves whenever possible.
Local & Domestic Shipments
• In our materials stock we also have blankets instead of corrugation or plastic wrapping materials. In addition, we have also added in our stock plastic crates in place of corrugation boxes to be used where ever possible for use multiple times.
• Use of strings after wrapping items is also practiced to avoid tapes manufactured from plastic.
Office Vehicles & Equipment’s
• Our Trucks and other vehicles used for pickups and delivery of our shipments are carefully maintained with frequently serviced though our maintenance program to prevent pollution.
• At our office we recycle use of paper, in addition we use equipment’s that reduces consumption of paper by printing on both sides.
Compliance of Laws towards Environment
• We also comply with local laws and regulations regarding the environment protection.
• Non-recycle waste materials such as damage boxes, wood, corrugation, plastic sheets or all kind of packing material are disposed in accordance with local requirements.
• Our staff is continuedly been aware of environmental awareness and promote environmental care and protection.
• Continually review this policy, to identify areas for further improvements and to enhance our environmental performance
• As far as we can we fully comply with outside environmental standards e.g FIDI etc to which Buhariwalas is affiliated
